RBMV X. Documents and letters from East Bohemian archives from the period of Wenceslas IV.

Work on the book series Regesta Bohemiae et Moraviae aetatis Venceslai IV. (1378 dec. – 1419 aug. 16) [RBMV] is one of the leading and important tasks of Czech historiography. The subject of this grant application is source research in east Bohemian archives and elaboration on the manuscript for Volume X. The editors will locate all originals, mediaeval copies and more recent confirmations of documents and letters preserved in the State Regional Archive in Zámrsk and its district branches (state district archives). They will create their data base and scientifical apparatus. The project will result in publication of Volume X of the RBMV (tomus IX. Fontes Archivi publici in Zámrsk). Published book make accessible new important sources.The applicant will perform the necessary source research in the archive of the former monastery of Regular Canons of St. Augustine in Kłodzko (now in Poland); Kłodzko was an integral component of the Kingdom of Bohemia and the east Bohemian region in the Middle Ages. This will result in listing of the preserved documents from the archive.
