Doc. Radomír Vlček, Ph.D., passed away

On Wednesday, August 27, our colleague, long-time employee of the Czech Academy of Sciences, renowned historian, expert on modern and contemporary history of Central and Eastern Europe in the 18th–20th centuries, and scholar of the history of the Russian Empire, Doc. Radomír Vlček, CSc., passed away.
He had been an employee of the Historical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences since 1993. From 1997 to 2012, he headed its Brno branch.
