Czech Historical Review – Call for Proposals for Thematic Sections/Issues for 2026 and 2027
The Czech Historical Review announces a call for proposals for thematic sections/issues for 2026 and 2027.
Scholars interested in guest editing a thematic section/issue are invited to submit proposals. Proposals must include:
- The working title of the thematic section/issue
- An extended abstract of the section/issue including relevance, originality and contribution (maximum length 3,600 characters)
- Preliminary content of the section/issue (estimated number of articles; if additional content such as reviews or literature reports will be included)
- A list of potential contributors with their affiliations and tentative titles of papers (preference given to diverse institutions)
- A timetable for the preparation of the issue/section (the length of the peer review process should be taken into account)
- Method of approaching contributors (call for papers or other means); information on whether the thematic issue/block is linked to a specific conference, workshop, etc.
- A short CV and a list of publications of the guest editors and evidence of previous editorial experience or a link to such evidence
Deadline for submission of proposals: 30 September 2025
Proposals in a single MS Word file are accepted in Czech or English and should be sent to: cch@hiu.cas.cz
