NeoLatDraCor Hackathon: From Text to TEI

The organizers of the first NeoLatDraCor Hackathon would like to invite you to join them in Prague, at the Institute of History of the CAS (Prosecká 809/76), from 22 to 23 May 2025.
The NeoLatDraCor group aims to build a corpus of Neo-Latin dramatic texts for incorporation into the DraCor infrastructure. The corpus will enable new perspectives on Neo-Latin dramatic texts, also considering the larger context of European drama. During the NeoLatDraCor hackathon, we will develop, test, and improve a standardised workflow to encode Neo-Latin dramatic texts in TEI for incorporation into NeoLatDraCor. The workflow will focus on starting from .txt or Word files.
The NeoLatDraCor is a project based on an international collaboration of researchers working on Neo-Latin drama. We would be very happy to welcome more interested colleagues to our project.
Since the number of participants is limited, please register for the hackathon by sending an email to the three organisers (julia.beine@rub.de; jana.borovickova@ruk.cuni.cz; jackova@ucl.cas.cz) by 11 May. There are no fees.
