The publication presents a catalogue of the final exhibition of the project Telč and the Jesuits, the Order and Its Patrons. Together with it, it aims to bring the life and functioning of the Society of Jesus in the environment of Telč closer to the public. Through introductory scientific studies and catalogue entries supplemented by rich visual material, the reader will get a glimpse into the early modern period, a not very explored era of the town's history. The first part provides information not only on the history of the Order's Tertianship House, but also on the architecture, furnishings, and small religious buildings in Telč and its surroundings. The following part deals with the Jesuit community of Telč, its economic background, and focuses especially on the phenomenon of the third probation and the missionary activity associated with it. The last section reflects on the role of the Jesuits in the town in providing spiritual service and education, celebrating the liturgy, organizing spiritual ceremonies, or operating a pharmacy.
