Narrated landscape is a term used by the author to refer to a picture of historical landscape mediated by narrative sources. The publication seeks to draw attention to the potential of narrative sources in historical geography and the benefits as well as pitfalls of the study. One of the important aspects in most of the narrated landscapes is emotional absorption. The texts contain various amounts of emotional undertones or even sentiments, eulogizing orations, overstated styles or even verses, which express the relations to the landscapes, the creative absorption and the personal motivations.
