The book summarizes main directions and possibilities of studying baroque landscapes and at the same time the spectrum of usable sources (text – image – map – field research), their interpretation potential from the point of view of historical geography and cultural history. The concept of the book, whose individual chapters combine micro- and macro-views (case studies and their general interpretation), is based on the broader framework of the study of baroque landscapes in Bohemia (approx. 1650–1800), outlined in the introductory chapter.
