The publication introduces the work of Bohemian Brethren bishop Jan Blahoslav (1521–1571), who translated from the Greek and in 1564 and 1568 published in the brethren printing house in Ivančice the New Testament. The study concentrates on a general context of this translation, analyses the Blahoslavʼs relation to the biblical humanism (especially to the work of Erasmus of Rotterdam) and the used contemporary editions of the New Testament.
