The critical catalogue is a supplement to the exhibition “Irrigation - rediscovered heritage, their documentation and popularization” and the output of the NAKI grant project of the same name (2020–2022). It presents the results of interdisciplinary research, focused on describing the historical development of irrigation implementation and industry connected with this branch of water management, identification and documentation of historical, abandoned and still functional objects and systems. In the individual chapters, it describes the idea and goals of the project, the issue of industrial heritage and heritage protection, the typology of irrigation, the modern history of their implementation, the current state and perspectives for the future. In a separate chapter, it describes the development of industrial products, machines and equipment for irrigation. Part of the catalogue is also a description of the identification and documentation of objects in the field and, on the example of thirteen locations, it documents the current state, historical development and monument potential of them.
