31st International Conference on the History of Cartography (ICHC 2026)
From 7–11 July 2026, Prague and Brno will host the 31st International Conference on the History of Cartography (ICHC 2026). This is the world’s most important gathering of experts in the history of maps, cartography, and cartographic cultural heritage.
Organised in partnership with the Institute of History of the Czech Academy of Sciences, the conference will attract historians, geographers, cartographers, archivists and digital humanities specialists from around the globe to the Czech Republic. The programme will feature academic lectures, workshops and exhibitions of antique maps, as well as discussions on the use of modern technologies in researching cartographic heritage.
