Important notice:
The Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic decided in the year 2010 to terminate publishing the Slavonic Historical Studies as a separate periodical and to combine it with the topically related Slavonic Review into a single magazine title. The Slavonic Historical Studies will be published in the future at the year's end as Issue 5 of the Slavonic Review! (The chance to publish original, more comprehensively elaborated expert essays on the history of the Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe to the extent of 50 to 100 standard pages still exists!) The new practice is to allow connecting more effectively the range of contributors and readers of both periodicals published separately up to now, to facilitate immediate confrontation of researcher results and at the same time to keep the high expertise level, thematic variability and formal variability of the published essays.
