BDÈZ – BIBLIOGRAPHY OF THE HISTORY OF THE CZECH LANDS

is a continual programme of the creation, treatment and evaluation of a complex bibliographic database of Bohemica literature. It is a continuing project of field (historical) bibliography uninterruptedly sustained in the Czech lands already since 1905, at the Institute of History since 1956.

BDÈZ sets as its aim to capture all scientific and professional work (books, studies and articles, reviews and reports on the literature) issued on Czech history at home and abroad. A component of the work is also the systematic monitoring of foreign bibliographic databases and other information sources. The aim of the bibliography is to achieve the most complex information, a summary of all the available production, including extensive regional literature. It informs on the theoretical and methodological thought of the Czech historical community, captures information on the research projects and reports from scientific life, and follows Czech history in an international context.  

Union Catalogue Bibliography of the Czech and Slovak historiography

Union catalog allows access to the database Bibliography of the History of the Czech lands, Bibliography of the History of Slovakia and Bibliography of the Czech archival science and enables their common search. Catalog was supported by the project „Bibliography of the History of the Czech Lands“ of the program Projects of Large Research, Development and Innovation Infrastructures no. LM2011018, the provider was the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of the Czech Republic.

was created within the grant project Position of individuals in order communities of Bohemia and Moravia in the Early Modern Period (GA of the ASCR, IAA800150902, 2009–2011, bearer: Institute of History of the CAS, Principal Investigator: Kateĝina Valentová), is a place for the accumulation of personnel data on the monks and nun and creation of a thesaurus of biographical sources.



DATABASE OF THE NARRATIVE SOURCES FROM THE MONASTIC MILIEU

is a specific part of the extensive Bio-bibliographic database of monks and nuns constructed within grant project Sources, forms and functions of monastic historiography of the Early Modern Period in the Czech lands (CSF, 14-05167S, 2014–2016, bearer: Institute of History of the CAS, co-bearer: Palackŭ University in Olomouc, Principal Investigator: Kateĝina Valentová, co-investigator: Jana Oppeltová), the aim of which is mainly the registration, classification, and analysis of historiographic works and narratives sources of monastic provenience.

The manuscripts are described in the database according to a detailed manual compiled based on the regulations and methodological approaches used in the Databases of Manuscripts and Bibliography of Codicological Literature (http://tslanius.mua.cas.cz/KATALOG/ ).
